Country Accountant
Job Description
The Country Accountant is pivotal in supporting financial operations by maintaining accurate records, assisting with financial reporting, and contributing to cash flow projection activities to ensure effective financial management. The position is Thailand-based and will be handling end-to-end record-to-report processes for our Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia offices.
Marketing Associate
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversee the end-to-end R2R process in the Mekong (TH, VN, KH) for accuracy and compliance
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions; and perform regular review and reconciliation of accounts
- Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports, providing insights and recommendations
- Manage tax administration, ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting to local authorities
- Support audit activities by preparing relevant documentation and responding to audit inquiries, ensuring compliance with auditing standards
- Monitor day-to-day collections; strategize vendor payments for optimal cash flow
- Prepare and maintain the Country Cash Flow Forecast using databases for financial planning
- Be actively involved in the annual budget preparation process in collaboration with stakeholders
- Undertake various ad hoc financial tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance Department
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5 years experience; Managerial experience is a plus
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices, coupled with expertise in financial management
- Expertise in Xero System is ideal
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Previous auditing experience is considered a valuable plus
- Excellent written and verbal English and Thai communication skills, proficiency in Vietnamese is an additional asset
- Proficient in navigating Microsoft Office products and Google Suites
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite products
- Willingness to travel as required

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using project management tools and CRM software
- Understanding of gaming and esports industry trends (negotiable)
