Arcade on Wheels, powered by GGTruck, debuted the much-anticipated global launch of Tekken 8 together with Bandai Namco and PlayStation last January 27-28, 2024 at Eastwood Citywalk, Quezon City.

Hosted by Justin “Vill” Villaseran, accompanied by the dynamic casting duo of Pica and Pochspice, the event successfully delivered an unforgettable experience through a variety of activities tailored to the interests within the Fighting Game Community (FGC).

Prominent figures in the FGC made up the highlight of the program. Pro players Alexandre “AK” Laverez and Juliano “Jules” Lozano, alongside streamers Asahina and Gloco, showcased their Tekken skills through several show matches. Meanwhile, thrill-seekers engaged in intense King of the Hill battles and had the opportunity to challenge seasoned pros in the “Beat the Pros” competition.

Beyond the battles, the event embraced the creative spirit with a dedicated photo booth and a lively cosplay contest. Attendees flaunted their favorite Tekken character costumes, adding a vibrant and colorful dimension to the gaming spectacle.

The event was a celebration of Tekken’s legacy–a game deeply ingrained in the roots of the Arcade on Wheels initiative–but extended beyond Tekken, with exhibitors such as Studyo.Ph, Pinoy Retro Gaming, and Tito Steefs joining the fray. Their diverse offerings added layers to the event, ensuring there was something for every type of gamer.

As a testament to their commitment to the gaming community, Arcade on Wheels offered enticing prizes, including the coveted Tekken premium collector’s edition. Lucky winners walked away with these exclusive rewards, adding to the overall thrill of the event.
